Emily walls, owner & photographer

I’ve been a photographer since 2015, but before that, I worked at a large and then a small advertising agency. This background has given me an eye for what images my clients need to sell their work. From LinkedIn profile pages to websites to Instagram, professional images are necessary to help tell your story and show off your work accurately

On the personal side, I am an East Coast transplant who is still in awe of how big the trees are out here. I’m a wife and mama. I’ve decided to make a hobby out of learning how to rollerblade. We live in Arlington, WA, and I love to take my son on stroller walks downtown to pick out my favorite houses. Ice cream counts as dinner. All my vacation time is spent visiting family and friends on the East Coast, but I would still love your recommendations on what we need to see in the Pacific Northwest.

The gully

Lush and green, the gully is our five-acre private property and home located in rural Arlington, WA. After years of working on location, I knew we had found something special the moment we first drove down our driveway. Surrounded by massive, richly colored evergreens and filled with shoulder-height ferns, our backyard and forest offer clients numerous beautiful backdrops, stunning light, and a park-like feel without the crowds (with easy parking and snacks too!). We can take our time and experience the photos.

But really, it’s so gorgeous that the previous owners’ daughter was married here. The twinkle lights still hang in our red barn, and the happiness they left behind sealed the deal for us buying it. We hope you feel it too.

Your place

I work on location at my clients’ studios, rented studios or at your location of choice. I work throughout Snohomish and King counties as well as New England & Pennsylvania when I’m back on the East Coast.
