Dark Mode Headshot Branding Sessions

This Darth Vader portrait shoot was an idea I had last spring for my friend Matt, who is a journeyman welder. I wanted black paper, black helmet, black gloves and black apparel lit with a single light and his torch. We were going for Darth Vader, but it might also give astronaut or submariner. We took studio photos with his helmet off as well so that he had a few options to use on his website and to show his face.

I can do the same set-up for any client and can tone down the darkness of the images. It’s a classic, bold headshot style that will look professional on your website, Instagram intro post, LinkedIn profile, and business cards. If it’s time for an update, let’s do it!

This style of session is offered at any time, but Dark Mode Headshot mini sessions will be offered January 9, 2026 from 10am to 4:30pm. Below are the details:

  • How long will it be?: 30-minute sessions may be scheduled between 10am and 4:30pm

  • What will it look like: In studio shoot with a black backdrop with studio lighting

  • What do you get: Private online gallery of the best images

  • Price: $300 + Tax
